Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is available in two levels, Essentials and Premium. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis with an annual commitment offered at a discounted rate compared to the monthly option.

A named user subscription license giving the user full access to the following application areas within Business Central.
Premium
A named user subscription license giving the user full access to all areas within Business Central.

A named user subscription license, for users who only need basic access, restricted to specific Business Central functions.

No, all licenses in your subscription must be of the same type – either Essential OR Premium.
To qualify for the Sales Professional or Customer Service Professional (or both) licensing at the reduced ‘add-on’ rate, the user of these products must also be assigned a Business Central Essentials or Premium license. Users without a Business Central license are charged at the full rate.
